Me and Master's Christmas

Me and Master had a very nice Christmas this year!  It's actually my first ever Christmas...  I'm so glad I got to come along with Master and her family.  We got to go to both her grandparents' houses and eat lots of good food and play games.
There were lots of pretty decorations like this Christmas tree and these lit up presents.

Master showed me all sorts of neat things in her Grandma's house.  They have a lot of ancient relics, which I like to look at...being kind of an ancient relic myself, hehe!  Master got this picture of me by a pretty vanity set.  I feel so elegant and refined here.

I also got my picture on this weird jaguar statue...  I know Master's grandma always asked for a Jaguar, but we ASSUMED she met a car...

This is only some of the neat stuff Master got for Christmas!  She got a stocking with candy, lip gloss, hematite jewelry, a hemp jewelry kit, and bread dip from Aj's!  Our favorite grocery store!  Master said I could use the little pen she got when I go back to school.

Master also got silky gloves, rainbow socks, two different sketchbooks, a lap desk for her flat computer that is made by the fake fruit company (Why don't they sell apples like the sign says??), also, she got a really pretty Swarovski necklace (I want it!  but it's in human size...), and a gift card to Aj's...Teka is going to be thrilled!

Lastly and definitely not leastly...I have this picture.

Me and Master aren't very spiritual, but we do know that Christmas wouldn't be possible without this man.  It is his birthday after all!

My New Clothes!

I'm so excited!  My human made me new clothes!  I was going to go up to the mountains for Christmas...but it got cancelled so we could take care of Master's brother.  I still need that coat because it has been so cold here...I'm freezing my tail feathers off!

Master also got this picture of me with a balloon.  She gets balloons and candy when customers say nice things about her.  I picked the purple one because it reminded me of my friend Poof.

Then, Master decided to make me an extra special dress for Christmas.  I'm wearing it with my tiara and a Christmas ribbon.  It has a little glass leaf button, too!  That's my favorite part.  I also have a little purse that I keep a tiny sigilyph doll, some dream stones, and a German coin in for good luck (I have my purse in the last picture).

Oh, and I got this pretty little sketchbook.  Master got it in a secret santa exchange, but it was too small for her to draw in, so I got it.  Master is teaching me to draw now!  I want to be an artist, too.  Here's my first picture...it's a little sigilyph.

Oh, and finally we have had a lot of new additions to our friends over here.  I wanted to get a group shot of me with Ciela, Andromeda, and Shimmer!

Hi there!  It’s me, Maya again!  Me and my human went shopping again, only at a different mall.  We were with one of my human’s best friends.  At first we were going to go to Firebirds, but we decided to go to Ra instead…because the humans were eating dinner soon.  They had really good sushi there…I think Trisk would have been a fan, everyone always talks about how much he likes sashimi.

After a light lunch, we went browsing in the open air mall everyone calls La Enchilada for some reason…oh wait, that’s La Encantada!  We stopped at a place called Papyrus, which has cards and sketchbooks.  If anyone has received a letter from master, it is probably on paper from this place.  Master wanted a journal, but there weren’t many to choose from this time. 

Later, we went to a store that Master ALWAYS goes to.  They have a lot of bath stuff and good smelling things.  I don’t know if I can spell it right…  Loxie-Ton…Lahkzi-than…  L’Occitane!  Master wanted a lavender bubble bath, but she decided to wait until payday.  The nice lady let me sit in a nest of lavender flowers!  It smelled so good!

Right after L’Occitane, we stopped by the Apple Store, which I was very disappointed had no fruit.  It had a lot of flat computers in it…like that thing master plays with all the time.  Master kept saying she wanted to talk to someone named Siri.  I learned that Siri is a disembodied voice that is inside the thing that kind of looks like a Thunderbolt, but doesn’t work as good.  I don’t understand these little devices…apparently Master works with them all day.  Humans use them to talk because they don’t have telepathy.  You have to be careful because sometimes they have angry birds in them!  Hopefully they aren’t honchcrows…  Anyway, back to Siri…we tried talking to her, but she wouldn’t talk back…what a mean phone-spirit!  Master kept asking her questions, but she said she didn’t want to talk. 

Now THIS store had fruit!  Lots and lots of it!  Normal ones like apples and bananas, seasonal ones like pomegranates, and even ones from far away…like the coconuts I’m sitting on here.  They have really rare cheese and wine, too.  Oh, and the chocolates…  Teka would eat his own weight here.  We didn’t get to stay long because the humans were going to share presents, but Master promised to bring me here another time.

My Master got her friend a little toy robot for Christmas.  His name is “Nerdy Andy” and we became friends.  He says that the flat computers he’s on are better than the ones in the fake fruit store…  I still don’t understand the little flat computers…or why Master’s is named after an attack.  Maybe I’ll like them once they come out with the HTC Psychic.  Nerdy Andy also went on about something called Ice Cream Sandwich, which Teka was very interested in until he learned it was a kind of software.

I was pretty sleepy, so I took a nap after that.  Master’s boyfriend came by a little later and apparently Master has a new Kirby game!  A lot of our adventures will be taking place in front of the TV…now THERE’S a device I can get behind…but you have to be in front of it…I don’t get that saying. 

My Day at the Mall

"Anyway, my human and I decided to go to the mall today.  I was very
excited because shopping is one of my favorite things to do!
First, we stopped for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen.  We pick a good
restaurant each weekend...next week, we'll go to Firebird's.  That's
the same as Moltres' where I come from.  We had sweet corn guacamole,
fish tacos, and strawberry lemonade!  It was really good."

"After a good lunch, we went shopping.  We made sure to stop by Hallmark to get a get well card for Master's brother.  He broke his leg trying to ski down a really hard course...and then he ended up having to go heal at the People Center.  We're going to visit him in a few weeks...hope his leg heals fast.  I'm actually glad I don't have legs..."

"We shopped around some more.  I asked if we could go into a store called "Spencers" but Master said no because there are things in there an innocent sigilyph shouldn't see...it must be all the stuff with pot leaves on it, yeah that has to be it.  We stopped at Game Daze, too.  Master had been looking at a metal puzzle...FOR MONTHS...but never got it.  It is two elk heads locked together by their antlers and you have to separate them.  I'm having trouble keeping Master on task because she keeps playing with it."

"We looked inside the Swarovski store, which has a lot of pretty stuff!  Sadly, it was all too expensive...but fun to look at!  Some dumb kid laughed at us and Master got all embarrassed.  I said ignore them because they obviously are jealous because they don't have a sigilyph."

"This picture is on our way out.  The mall was really pretty for Christmas.  I wanted to see Santa, but too many kids were around and sigilyphs aren't allowed...that doesn't seem very fair to me."

"Anyway, that was our day out.  I was pretty tired, so I took a nap while Master bought food to cook for dinner.  Little tiny chickens and young sweet peas!  We better not tell Teka..."

"Oh!  I almost forgot!  Later that evening, we watched Victini and the Black Hero.  There is a sigilyph in there who plays a small, but important role.  He lifts an entire castle with his telekinesis!  I wish I could do that...  And while Victini was the star, I do think the sigilyph's acting was a lot better.  He had more of a subtle acting style than the in your face performance that Victini gave us.  I also really like the golurk's performance."
